How Ti.Live works, step by step

Two buttons do almost everything on Ti.Live: Watch live opens the rooms that are streaming now, and Start match pairs you with one new person for a private chat. Here is what happens behind each, plus the free matches that keep coming while you stay online.

In one sentence?

Open the site as a guest, watch a live room or tap Start match, chat as long as it is fun, and skip or follow when you are done.

01step zero

You arrive, and you are already in

There is no sign-up screen at the front door of Ti.Live. When the page loads, the site quietly creates a guest session for you in the browser. That session is enough to watch live rooms, make matches and send messages. Down the line, connecting a sign-in option in settings lets your follows and coin balance travel with you to a new phone or laptop.

Safari, Chrome, Edge and Firefox all run Ti.Live on phones and computers alike. Want a neon icon beside your other apps? The Ti.Live app guide walks through it.

02two doors

Watch, or talk

Everything on Ti.Live starts with one of two choices. Watch live opens the Live tab of the online list, where every card is a host streaming right now. Start match takes you to the match page, where the matcher pairs you with one new person for a private chat. You can go back and forth between them as often as you like; one never locks you out of the other.

03inside a live room

What you can do while a host is on air

Open any card on the Live tab and the stream fills your screen. Swipe up or down to hop to the next room; the previous one closes behind you. The room chat runs along the bottom, and anything you type there can be read by the host and the other viewers. Gifts float across the screen when someone sends one, and hosts sometimes set a goal or a wish they are collecting gifts for.

Some rooms have an entry rule. A gift-ticket room asks for a small gift to come in, a followers room opens once you follow the host, and a members room is for people who have bought coins before. The entry panel always shows the rule first. And if a stream turns into a conversation you want to continue privately, the button at the bottom of the room starts a one-on-one video call with the host.

04the match button

Meeting someone new, one at a time

Press Start match and Ti.Live finds one person who is also waiting. Before matching you can choose video, voice or text. It is a two-seat room; nobody else can join or peek. If they write in another language, tap the message to translate it into yours.

  1. 01

    Say hi

The first seconds decide most chats. A smile and a simple question beat any clever opener.

  2. 02

    Skip without guilt

Not a fit? Skip, and the next match appears in seconds. Nobody is told why.

  3. 03

    Follow to keep in touch

Enjoyed it? Tap follow before you hang up and the conversation can carry on by message tomorrow.

05free matches

The Reward Center on the match page

At the top of the match page sits the Reward Center. New visitors start with free matches, and while you stay online it keeps handing out more, several times a day. When your free matches are used up, you can wait for the next drop or use coins. Exact amounts and timings are adjusted from time to time, so we explain the idea rather than quote numbers; the free page covers coins in detail.

06after the chat

Messages, follows and staying safe

People you follow appear in your list, and you can message them later, see when they are online, or notice when a host you follow goes live. If anything goes wrong at any point, the report and block buttons are always one tap away; is Ti.Live safe explains what happens next.

questions people ask

How it works, answered

How does Ti.Live work?

You open tilive.chat as a guest, then either watch live rooms on the Live tab or press Start match to meet one new person on a private video, voice or text chat.

What is Ti.Live used for?

People use Ti.Live to unwind with a live stream, chat with hosts, and meet new people online through random one-on-one video calls.

How do I watch someone live?

Tap Watch live to open the Live tab, then pick a card. Swipe up or down inside a room to switch to another stream.

Can I talk to a host privately?

Yes. Each live room has a button that starts a one-on-one video call with the host. It uses coins and the host can accept or decline.

How does random matching work?

Pressing Start match puts you in line with everyone else who just pressed it; the matcher picks one of them for you. You share a closed room, and either side may skip whenever they like.

Can I choose who I match with?

Matches are random, which is part of the fun. If you want to see specific people, the online list and the Live tab let you browse and follow them.

What does following someone do?

Following saves the person to your list so you can message them after a call and see when they are online or streaming.

Do I have to use my camera?

No. Choose voice or text before matching, or just watch live rooms. The camera only turns on for video calls you start.

Try both doors tonight.

Watch a room for a minute, then tap Start match and say hi to someone new.
